President Vladimir Putin has called for enhancing the role of scientists in the country’s development.
“It is important to elevate the role of the scientific community in addressing Russia’s strategic development objectives and in strengthening national technological and industrial sovereignty,” he stated in his address to participants and guests of the 5th Congress of Young Scientists.
According to the president, achieving these goals requires increased investment in the most promising research areas, the expansion of international dialogue, and support for the professional growth of young specialists. Putin noted that the forum has demonstrated its high relevance. Participants will discuss issues related to fundamental and applied research, exchange views on new formats of interaction and partnership with businesses, and present advanced technological developments.
Putin expressed confidence that the proposals and recommendations discussed at the event will be implemented in practice and will contribute to achieving the priorities of the Decade of Science and Technology.
The anniversary 5th Congress of Young Scientists is being held at the Sirius Science and Arts Park from November 26 to 28. It is expected to bring together approximately nine thousand participants from more than 80 countries. The program includes over 230 business, cultural, and sports events.
