Sber Showcases Medical AI at India’s Largest AI Expo

Russia’s Sber exhibited medical AI hardware at the India AI Impact Expo 2026 in New Delhi this month, targeting a market of 1.4 billion people with chronic shortages of rural healthcare workers. The banking and tech giant’s healthcare arm, SberMedAI, was part of Russia’s national pavilion — one of 13 country showcases at the five-day event inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 16.

The headline product was GigaDoc, a smart-mirror device that scans a patient’s face and assesses up to 17 health indicators in roughly 15 seconds without physical contact. Alongside it, SberMedAI demonstrated the Digital FAP — a portable diagnostic kit designed for rural paramedic stations and mobile health teams — and a handheld X-ray unit with AI-powered image analysis.

All three products are built around the same premise: delivering primary care screening where doctors are not available. SberMedAI has already delivered 13 Digital FAP units to the Ministry of Health of Russia’s Republic of Kalmykia.

India’s rural healthcare deficit makes it a logical test market. The government has been actively courting AI solutions to bridge the gap — a priority reflected in the Expo’s focus on practical AI adoption across the Global South.
